The Seller, if not a resident of Georgia, may be subject to a withholding tax.
The Seller will be ask to fill out a Non-Georgia Resident form for tax purposes. Eastern Closing office can provide these forms to you, but please consult with your tax advisor when filling out these forms. In addition, the Affidavit of Seller’s Gain will need to be notarized.
If the Seller is a non-citizen or non-entity of the United States, they may be subject to a U.S. Withholding Tax. Please contact your tax advisor for details on this matter.
